I am so tired of the crap my distributor sells. Does anyone know where I can find 1/4 and 1/8 inch sheets of quality rubber instead of the cheap foam crud they sell???
Thanks,Rob.

You can get cork/rubber combo at the local parts store (Car quest) in sheet form, works well for us.

Rob;

Some distributors DO have quality gasket materials.

There are two main factors in quality sponge rubber gaskets.

1. Cell structure- open cell which collapses readily, and closed cell which maintains its resiliancy

2. Type of elastomer - must be a material not affected by common cleaning chemicals.

We use 1/4" material on our TM vac tank and portable gasket applications.

On some heat exchanger applications, we use a 1/8" Silicone rubber tape rated for 600° usage. It also lasts longer at lower temperatures.

Thanks JB. And Larry I did not mean to lump all disty's together. The gasket on my dump tank sub-filter on my WM's always leak. Also the gasket on my filter box always degrades quickly. Any suggestions???
Thanks,Rob.
