I like that seat but I also love shooting downhill at high speeds dialed in with the berms and jumps and those older design bikes are too out of balance with the weight being too top heavy (dangerous) with a higher chance of a bad wreckMy "10 speed"?
"we" rode this style bike for many decades before carbon frames with sloped top tubes and long seats posts provided flex and (some ) comfort.
It remains to be seen if a carbon fork is all that, but I don't expect the new bike to be any more or less painful.
Cycling is pain, if you really ride.
A few laps around the city park or pump track is not cycling imo.
