Facts:
Trump did not bring in the "I don't want to work with my hands/be a service provider" mindset, that's been in the works for decades
He didn't invent LVP either...
Or the start your business with with a cheap portable and Oreck orbiter mindset
Pretty sure he had nothing to do with robot vacuums set to clean daily schedules...
He certainly didn't tell supplier to not pay their mechanics a (good) living wage..
her response was, ya know Mike, it's always such a hassle to get those rooms cleaned, we've decided to replace the carpet with that plank stuff..
I told her that I'm actually cleaning more plank stuff than carpet these days, so be mindful that you'll still need to find a professional every now and then. to which she replied, really? I'm happy with how it cleans up in the rest of the house.....<<<<
So yes, areas will differ, if your client base is primarily (well paid) working couples, they wont want to spend their days off cleaning the house, but out here where most are retied, and have plenty of time to mop the floors, well......
(Hard Surface Wands are still selling very well...)

i dont see anything that inspires spending. Lots of talk on how much more money tariffs is bringing in but i dont see any prices going down nor any incentives to spend.

I’ve seen absolutely nothing to indicate any change from Biden to Trump in my local economy. The “Trump effect” has yet to benefit me.

No reasonable person would assume things, and prices would change in 6 months..
Prices need to drop on most everything in order for cleaners and homeowners alike to spend a bit frivolously...

Things have been stabilizing imo. The feds refuse to lower interest rates to help the economy.
The damage was already done and on purpose imo.
The courts are still rigged but things are changing.

as far as my business I have to say that I am booking in advance about the same amount of time as usual for this time of year.
But overall I feel that there is a sense of uncertainty among people which may be caused by the political climate and/or what is said on the news and social media. In addition, people are either on one side or another. there is no middle ground anymore.

My business is no different than it has been for the past 4 years but I was expecting a more robust turnaround and much sooner.
Average people have less money at least in my area. Myself included.
Incomes have not risen as much as inflation keeps taking it.
I use to make double house payments every month. Now its just a few hundred extra.
I buy the cheap whiskey instead of the good stuff more often.
Auto repairs get put off unless they are safety issues.
Carpet cleaning isn't a priority for those struggling. They may skip a year or wait until its really bad instead of keeping up.
I know its where I live too. When the economy is good or bad you see it every day. Crime goes up during tough times. South bend city offices have been been broken into and pipes off AC units stolen computers stolen. Catalytic converters stolen from city vehicles in parking garages.
Times have gotten tough around here. Even the police cars have gotten the cat converters stolen.
But Gennys cleaning business has been growing. Carpet cleaning not so much. She cleans for the same rich people every week and keeps adding new ones I need more people spending more money.
